Educated at the Film School in Amsterdam and now based in Denmark, Wiebe van der Vliet has worked across documentaries, features, and television as an editor, producer, director, and writer. His credits include Bible Black (2011, dir. Tao Nørager, IFFR premiere), True Family (2012), Zusa Street (2015), and Anori (2018), the first Greenlandic feature directed by a woman. He directed and produced The Evolution of the Cut (2016), an essay film on the history of editing, and has contributed to European features and museum films for institutions such as the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam and ARoS in Aarhus.
In recent years, his focus has expanded toward XR and new media, while continuing collaborations with Tao Nørager and Roaddox. Across formats, the through-line remains a fascination with process, creativity, and the act of shaping stories.
